Amharic Language Specialist – Remote (Hourly)

About the role

We are seeking an Amharic Language Specialist to support translation, localization, and audio production for AI training and multimedia projects. This remote, hourly position offers flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 per week.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, localize, and adapt content between Amharic and English.
• Edit and proofread written materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Perform dubbing and voice‑over for multimedia and AI training datasets.
• Process and engineer audio recordings to ensure high‑quality output.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support AI model training and language development.
• Annotate, evaluate, and refine language data for machine‑learning applications.
• Provide linguistic insights to improve workflows and language accuracy.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Amharic with strong English skills.
• Extensive experience in translation, editing, and localization.
• Solid background in linguistics and language analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.
