Application Developer Officer III (Permanent)

About the role

Omo Bank is seeking an Application Developer Officer III to join its Head Office team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining banking software solutions that support the bank’s rapid expansion across Ethiopia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deploy new application modules for core banking systems.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with business analysts and other IT staff to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Implement security best practices and conduct regular code reviews to safeguard customer data.
• Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and support materials for deployed solutions.
• Participate in incident resolution and provide timely technical support to end‑users.

Required profile

• MSc or BSc degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant work experience in software development.
• At least 1 year of experience in an Officer II position within a banking or financial institution.
• Permanent employment status with a commitment to long‑term growth at Omo Bank.
