Architectural Designer – Contract (Addis Ababa)

About the role

HUDEIN Studio is seeking an Architectural Designer on a contract basis to join its on‑site team in Addis Ababa. The role focuses on delivering innovative, sustainable architectural solutions for humanitarian and community‑driven projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design architectural projects from concept through detailed design.
• Produce and interpret construction and technical drawings.
• Collaborate on urban planning initiatives and multidisciplinary team efforts.
• Develop design solutions that meet client, community, and sustainability goals.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or related field.
• Proven experience in architectural design and construction drawing preparation.
• Strong drawing ability with emphasis on precision and creativity.
• Understanding of sustainable and human‑centered design principles.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience with humanitarian or community‑focused projects is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, D5, or Revit.
• Ability to develop and interpret construction drawings.
• Familiarity with graphic design concepts and methodologies.
