Bank Officer

About the role

The Officer role at Awash Bank S.C. is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Bahir Dar City, Amhara, Ethiopia. The incumbent will support daily branch operations, ensuring smooth account handling and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Open and maintain customer accounts, process transactions, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Provide timely, professional service, respond to inquiries, and promote the bank’s products in line with policies.
• Assist in monitoring regulatory and internal compliance, prepare routine reports, and support efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve branch targets and uphold service quality.

Required profile

• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Basic knowledge of financial, banking operations and cash‑handling.
• Organizational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field (preferred).
• Integrity, professionalism and a commitment to continuous learning.

Required skills

• Computer literacy and familiarity with office applications.
• Ability to work with banking and digital systems.
