Cashier Store Keeper

About the role

World Vision Ethiopia is seeking a diligent Cashier Store Keeper to manage petty cash, process payments, and oversee material supplies in line with our financial and material management guidelines. This position supports food assistance projects and contributes to the safe handling of financial assets.

Key responsibilities

• Administer petty cash and process authorized payments with complete supporting documentation.
• Request business advances, make payments, and deposit remaining cash to the bank on time.
• Prepare deposit vouchers to record cash collections and deposits.
• Act as cash custodian, ensuring the safety of financial assets and compliance with World Vision Ethiopia policies.
• Receive purchased or donated items, verify specifications, and assign fixed‑asset tags.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably within food assistance or humanitarian projects.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods in challenging terrain and conditions.
• Good command of oral and written English.
• Computer literacy is an added advantage.
