Chief Financial Officer

About the role

Temer Properties, a leading real estate development firm in Addis Ababa, is seeking a strategic and visionary Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will provide financial leadership for the corporate office and group operations, acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the group’s financial strategy aligned with long‑term growth plans.
• Lead preparation of accurate, timely IFRS‑compliant consolidated financial statements.
• Establish management reporting frameworks, dashboards and KPIs.
• Oversee annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and performance variance analysis.
• Support project costing, profitability analysis and financial modeling for construction and infrastructure projects.
• Manage cash‑flow planning, working‑capital optimization, banking relationships and foreign‑currency exposure.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax law, regulatory frameworks and IFRS standards.
• Design and maintain robust internal control systems and lead audit processes.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance experience, preferably in real estate, construction or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to advise senior leadership on capital structure, M&A and investment decisions.
• Strong track record of implementing financial controls and risk‑mitigation measures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial insights to boards and committees.
