Consultant, MERL Data Analyst

About the role

Last Mile Health is seeking a Consultant, MERL Data Analyst to lead the design, development, and management of digital data collection tools for its Ethiopia program. The consultant will apply advanced analytical techniques, including AI‑enabled methods, to turn complex quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights that improve program performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑quality mobile data collection tools using ODK and KoboToolbox.
• Support monthly monitoring and performance reviews through Looker Studio and DHIS2 dashboards.
• Provide technical and logistical assistance for field‑based data collection and impact evaluation studies.
• Enter, clean, validate, and maintain datasets, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
• Participate in data review meetings, incorporate feedback, and resolve data discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, Data Science or related field (master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive MERL experience in community‑based health programs.
• Proven experience training staff and supporting service delivery and program evaluation.

What we offer

• Project‑based contract from July 2026 to June 2027.
• Up to 40 hours per week, onsite in Addis Ababa.
• Monthly fee of $1,300 – $2,000 USD.
