Copywriter – Brand Storytelling

About the role

Medab Solutions is seeking a creative Copywriter to join its Addis Ababa team. You will craft clear, persuasive, and culturally resonant copy for a variety of channels, helping brands connect with Ethiopian audiences through the company’s MEDAB Framework.

Key responsibilities

• Research target audiences and market insights to develop compelling narratives.
• Write and edit copy for websites, social media, marketing campaigns, press releases, and brand storytelling assets.
• Collaborate with marketing, strategy, and design teams to ensure messaging aligns with client objectives and brand voice.
• Proofread and revise content for accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance.
• Support the development of campaign concepts and ensure all copy adheres to the MEDAB Framework.

Required profile

• Strong writing and proofreading abilities with a focus on error‑free, engaging copy.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex ideas.
• Experience drafting press releases and marketing materials.
• Fluent command of English; proficiency in Amharic or other Ethiopian languages is a plus.
• Good research skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Literature, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
