About the role

Awash Bank, a leading private commercial bank in Ethiopia, is hiring a full-time, on-site Customer Service Officer III in Bishoftu. The officer delivers high-quality customer service in branch operations, helping customers understand bank products and services while processing routine transactions and resolving issues.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, handle their inquiries and provide information on bank products and services professionally and efficiently.
• Process routine transactions and support account opening and maintenance.
• Resolve customer issues in coordination with relevant departments.
• Ensure adherence to bank policies and maintain accurate records.
• Promote customer satisfaction and retention, gather customer feedback and support branch initiatives that improve service quality.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business, Banking, Finance or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of banking products, services and procedures; prior experience in a financial institution is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, integrity and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Required skills

• Strong customer-facing capabilities, including customer service and customer support.
• Interpersonal skills, clear communication and the ability to build trust with diverse customers.
• Proficiency in using computer applications and branch systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
