Data & MEAL Information Specialist II

About the role

This fixed‑term position supports decentralized monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning for FCI implementation in Ethiopia. The specialist ensures community‑level data are complete, timely and accurate, linking implementation progress with national HMIS/DHIS2 and FCI reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement FCI data‑flow processes from community/spoke level through hubs into required reporting systems.
• Compile, clean and validate routine program data, conduct data‑quality checks and support corrective actions.
• Analyze performance data, prepare dashboards and support monthly/quarterly reviews to identify trends and gaps.
• Provide user support for digital data collection tools and ensure alignment with national HMIS/DHIS2.
• Train and coach staff on data tools, reporting and data use, and contribute to learning products and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, health informatics, public health or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience with MEAL, data management, HMIS/DHIS2 or digital health data systems at regional/field level.
• Experience working with field teams and government health structures.
