About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Deputy Director of Grants and Partnerships to lead resource mobilisation and diversify funding streams in Ethiopia. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape strategic growth, ensure donor compliance, and enhance the organisation’s visibility.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Business Development Action Plan, translating strategy into operational priorities and donor engagement plans.
- Oversee the full grant lifecycle, ensuring compliance, high‑quality reporting, and timely submissions.
- Strengthen grant‑tracking systems and build staff capacity in grants management and donor relations.
- Identify and engage new partners aligned with business development goals.
- Monitor progress against KPIs, report to the Senior Management Team, and ensure adherence to IRC and donor regulations.
- Collaborate with country, regional, and headquarters teams to support programme and budget monitoring.
Required profile
- Solutions‑driven professional with strong analytical and influencing skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Experience collaborating with diverse, multi‑disciplinary teams across locations.
- Proven track record in resource mobilisation, donor compliance, and partnership development.
