Driver (Consultant) – Addis Ababa

About the role

The United Nations Office to the African Union seeks a professional driver on a consultancy basis for a three‑month assignment in Addis Ababa. The role ensures safe, discreet and reliable transportation for VIP delegations, staff and official parcels, supporting the organization’s operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide secure, punctual transport for VIP delegations, adhering to confidentiality and professional standards.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle in clean, road‑worthy condition and keep accurate vehicle logs.
• Practice defensive driving, follow all traffic regulations and report any incidents immediately.
• Assist VIPs at airports, including immigration, customs and lounge support, and act as liaison in the absence of a Protocol Officer.
• Deliver official parcels and documents promptly and safely.

Required profile

• Valid automotive driving licence.
• Minimum four years of professional driving experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations.
