Field Security Officer (Intern)

About the role

The Field Security Officer (Intern) will support the Field Security Coordinator in planning and implementing security measures for World Vision’s Response Office programs. This role ensures that security protocols align with national contexts and organizational policies, while also providing continuity of leadership when the FSC is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Response Office security strategy in line with World Vision’s global security policies.
• Conduct and update Security Risk Assessments (SRAs), Context Risk Ratings (CRRs), and Core Security Requirements (CSR) according to current safety guidelines.
• Provide guidance and oversight to security focal persons across the Response Office.
• Collaborate with the Response FSC on risk assessments and crisis response.
• Lead security investigations and support management during critical incidents.
• Engage local leaders to secure safe‑access arrangements for field missions.
• Represent World Vision at local NGO security network meetings and share relevant information with staff.
• Maintain strong security relationships with NGOs, local authorities, and other partners.

Required profile

• Ability to support the Field Security Coordinator and act as Acting FSC when required.
• Commitment to ensuring compliance with World Vision security policies and procedures.
• Willingness to work in challenging environments and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
