Finance Assistant – Maternity Cover (4‑month contract)

About the role

TechnoServe is seeking a Finance Assistant to provide maternity cover for a four‑month period. Working under the Finance and Admin Officer, you will support program activities by ensuring accurate cash handling, payment processing, and tax settlement while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Collect cash and checks from staff or customers, deposit them promptly, and store related documents securely.
• Prepare checks, bank transfers, and cash payments for business expenses, per‑diems, and workshop accommodations.
• Review staff travel expense vouchers, advance requests, and procurement documents, then generate payment vouchers.
• Scan and upload financial documents daily into the NAV system.
• Maintain systematic filing of vouchers, ledgers, reports, and tax documents, both physical and electronic.
• Assist in preparing monthly tax reports, pension contributions, and income‑tax payments.
• Collect and file bank advices, statements, and other correspondence.
• Support posting of transactions and other ad‑hoc finance tasks as required.

Required profile

• BA degree in Accounting or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the NAV (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) accounting system.
