Finance Officer

About the role

Oxfam is seeking a Finance Officer to provide financial management and partnership support, ensuring that partner organisations handle donor funds in line with organisational policies, donor regulations and statutory requirements. The role contributes to the successful delivery of projects and the achievement of Oxfam's mission to end poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Review partner budgets, financial reports, fund requests and liquidations for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify financial risks and discrepancies, proposing practical solutions.
• Provide coaching, capacity‑strengthening and guidance to partners on financial management.
• Facilitate open dialogue with partners and internal stakeholders to resolve financial and operational issues.
• Ensure timely reporting and adherence to donor compliance requirements.

Required profile

• BA degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in partner finance management.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles and donor compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
• Alignment with Oxfam’s feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion.
