Flow Monitoring Enumerator – Data & Research (2 positions)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking two Flow Monitoring Enumerators to support its Data and Research team in Ethiopia. The role involves collecting, verifying, and reporting migration‑related data at designated flow‑monitoring points (FMPs) and high‑mobility areas.

Key responsibilities

• Identify reliable sources and key informants to gather relevant migration information.
• Conduct DTM/FM assessments at observation points according to the DRU Manager’s operational plan.
• Observe, count, screen, and survey individuals at FMPs, ensuring data quality and completeness.
• Collect GPS coordinates for each observation point.
• Liaise with humanitarian and governmental partners in the field.
• Report daily activities, challenges, and recommendations to the DTM/FM Team Leader.
• Adhere to IOM’s Data Protection Principles and perform any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum BA degree (field of study relevant to social sciences, migration, or related disciplines).
• Experience in field data collection, surveys, or monitoring activities.
• Ability to work in high‑mobility environments and conduct direct observations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify questionnaire data.
