Flow Monitoring Enumerator – Data & Research (2 positions)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking two Flow Monitoring Enumerators to support its Data and Research team in Ethiopia. The role involves collecting, verifying and reporting mobility data at designated flow‑monitoring points (FMPs) and high‑mobility areas.

Key responsibilities

• Identify reliable sources and key informants to gather relevant migration information.
• Conduct direct observation, counting, screening and surveying at FMPs according to the DRU manager’s operational plan.
• Systematically verify and correct questionnaires or forms after each interview.
• Record GPS coordinates for each observation point.
• Liaise with humanitarian and governmental partners in the field.
• Submit daily activity reports and recommendations to the DTM/FM Team Leader.
• Adhere to IOM’s Data Protection Principles and any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (field of study not specified).
• Experience in field data collection, monitoring or enumeration is preferred.
• Ability to work in high‑mobility environments and conduct direct observations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data quality.
• Willingness to travel to remote locations and work onsite.
