Forensic Accountant – Local Support in Batu, Ethiopia

About the role

Our client seeks a Forensic Accountant to provide on‑site support for a forensic audit in Batu/Ziway, Ethiopia. The role requires a locally‑based professional fluent in Afaan Oromo and Amharic, available for at least two weeks to assist the audit team with interviews, record reviews and liaison activities.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate health and safety, social and labour issues, and corporate social responsibility matters.
• Conduct interviews with farm workers, management, local officials and community members.
• Review local employment, operational, land and regulatory records.
• Support site access, coordination with local administration and logistics for the audit team.

Required profile

• Fluency in Afaan Oromo and Amharic.
• Availability to work on‑site in Batu/Ziway for a minimum of two weeks.
• Experience in local investigative, legal, audit or fixer roles.
• Background in labour, social, health‑and‑safety, CSR, ESG or agricultural‑sector investigations.
• Ability to act as a local liaison, facilitating stakeholder engagement and document handling.
