Human Resources Administrator

About the role

The Human Resources Administrator will join mekdi production plc in Addis Ababa to support daily HR operations. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures smooth employee lifecycle processes and compliance with internal policies and Ethiopian labor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and update information in HRIS.
• Prepare HR documents, contracts, and benefits‑related paperwork.
• Coordinate recruitment logistics, schedule interviews, and assist with onboarding and off‑boarding.
• Organise training, orientation sessions and company events.
• Respond to routine employee inquiries and manage benefits documentation.
• Support HR reporting, attendance tracking, and internal communications.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in talent acquisition and employee relations.
• Strong foundation in HR management and daily operations.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and Ethiopian labor law.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in a creative, media or production environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) for data entry and reporting.
• Advanced use of MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to manage spreadsheets and digital records efficiently.
