Junior Dispatcher

About the role

The Junior Dispatcher will work full‑time on‑site in Addis Ababa, supporting Menkem International’s logistics operations across Ethiopia and neighboring countries. You will coordinate daily transport schedules, assign vehicles and drivers, and monitor trips to ensure timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport schedules and assign routes to drivers.
• Monitor trips and update dispatch records in real time.
• Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding deliveries and any issues.
• Track shipments, confirm delivery status with clients, and handle routine delays.
• Assist with basic documentation for port clearance and transit services.
• Collaborate closely with the logistics team to maintain smooth operations.

Required profile

• Ability to coordinate transport schedules, assign routes and track deliveries using basic dispatch or tracking tools.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with drivers, warehouse staff and clients.
• Organizational skills to maintain accurate records, logs and shipment documentation.
• Capability to handle delays, emergencies or service disruptions and adjust plans accordingly.
• Commitment to compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
