Junior Store Controller

About the role

The Junior Store Controller will support daily store operations at Puratos' Addis Ababa facility, ensuring that finished products, raw materials and non‑stock items are stored safely and efficiently. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent graduates eager to start a career in logistics and supply chain management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure proper storage and handling of finished products, raw materials, store items and non‑stock materials according to warehouse procedures and safety standards.
• Issue stock to user departments in line with company policies and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Conduct physical counts, verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing products, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of store items, upload daily transaction data to the system, and prepare inventory reports.
• Oversee material receipt, processing, movement, pick‑up, monitoring and dispatch within the plant.
• Review store layout, space utilization and material flow to identify improvement opportunities.
• Investigate incidents of damaged or missing stock and report findings to the supervisor.
• Implement HSE policies for store safety and continuously assess store management processes.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Management or a related field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of relevant experience.
• Good command of English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Strong communication skills, team‑oriented and service‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
