Logistics Assistant

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Logistics Assistant to support its fleet operations across Ethiopia. You will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are well‑maintained, compliant, and efficiently dispatched to support the organization’s mission of helping vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit reports on vehicle performance, fuel consumption and operational issues.
• Maintain accurate service history records and follow up on unresolved maintenance requests.
• Dispatch vehicles for field and town movements and assist the Fleet Manager with monthly and quarterly performance reports.
• Oversee minor repairs, report major faults, and ensure vehicles are stocked with safety tools such as first‑aid kits and fire extinguishers.
• Drive assigned World Vision vehicles, conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, and enforce compliance with fleet policies and local traffic regulations.
• Liaise with the Road Transport Authority and insurance providers to secure inspections, title certificates and manage accident claims.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in management, mechanical or logistics management.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in fleet‑related activities.
• Valid Grade 3 driving licence.
