National Consultant – Economic Reintegration & Private Sector Engagement

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a National Consultant to support the development and operationalisation of economic reintegration, private sector engagement and financial inclusion programmes in Ethiopia. The consultant will work closely with IOM’s Protection and Programme Support Unit and liaise with government, private sector and financial service partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a Private Sector Engagement Strategy for IOM Ethiopia’s reintegration programming based on existing mapping.
• Engage relevant government stakeholders to analyse private sector engagement and identify collaboration entry points.
• Organise and follow‑up private sector engagement events, dialogue forums and networking platforms.
• Identify private sector financing and investment opportunities and support the Private Sector Engagement Taskforce.
• Support operationalisation of partnerships with Kifiya, banks, micro‑finance institutions, fintech providers and other financial service providers.
• Facilitate beneficiary access to financial literacy, business development, digital financial services, savings mechanisms and financing opportunities.
• Strengthen linkages between financial inclusion initiatives and reintegration assistance programmes.
