Partnerships and Private Sector Engagement Manager

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Ethiopia seeks an experienced Partnerships and Private Sector Engagement Manager to lead and strengthen partnership development, management, and growth across the country office and area offices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement NRC Ethiopia’s Partnership Strategy and related SOPs, ensuring alignment with NRC’s vision and localisation commitments.
• Build and maintain relationships with civil society, private sector, academic institutions, and public authorities.
• Oversee the full partnership lifecycle: due diligence, partner selection, capacity assessments, agreement management, compliance monitoring, and audits.
• Support partners in understanding donor requirements, compliance regulations, reporting deadlines, and NRC procedures.
• Advise colleagues and leadership on strategic partnership decisions and promote equitable partnership culture.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in humanitarian, recovery, human rights or development contexts.
• University degree combined with relevant professional background.
• Fluency in English and Amharic, both written and verbal.
• Solid understanding of the Ethiopian civil society and private sector context.
• Excellent networking, coordination, training and facilitation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
