Pharma Portfolio Sales Representative

About the role

VIYA Health Enterprise Ltd, a private company focused on women's sexual and reproductive health, is hiring a Sales Representative Pharma Portfolio for its Addis Ababa territory. This is a field-based role reporting to the Commercial Lead Ethiopia, aimed at driving territory sales growth and achieving assigned revenue targets through scientific engagement with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual territory business plan and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales, market share and profitability targets.
• Prioritize and segment customers, identify new business opportunities and expand product penetration.
• Monitor product availability, distribution and stock levels across pharmacies, hospitals and wholesalers.
• Build partnerships with healthcare professionals, pharmacists, hospitals and wholesalers, delivering scientific detailing and product presentations.
• Plan and run customer engagement activities such as CMEs, product launches and hospital meetings.
• Track competitor products, pricing and promotions, and share market intelligence with management.
• Promote products in full compliance with company policy, EFDA regulations and industry codes, using only approved materials.
• Complete mandatory compliance, pharmacovigilance and regulatory training.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly activity, sales, expense and territory reports, and use CRM and digital tools to manage calls and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm).
• Professional license from the appropriate Ethiopian regulatory body.
• 2-5 years of successful pharmaceutical sales or medical representative experience in sexual and reproductive health, medical devices or pharma.
• Ability to understand and explain highly technical product information.
