Premises Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Premises Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep of ICRC premises and equipment across all sites, including sub‑delegations and offices. The role involves supervising a team of technicians, coordinating maintenance activities, and guaranteeing that safety and security standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule maintenance tasks, assigning work to technicians based on priorities.
• Evaluate, control, and procure materials, equipment, and supplies needed for maintenance work.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess fixtures, diagnose malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Manage relationships with external service providers, overseeing outsourced maintenance and renovation projects.
• Participate in the selection and inspection of new premises, ensuring utilities and structures meet ICRC standards.
• Implement and monitor security measures, including installation of fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, gas detectors, and other safety equipment.
• Record and investigate premises‑related incidents, preparing relevant reports.
• Lead ESAP (Environmental and Safety Assurance Programme) projects to ensure compliance with ICRC standards.
