Process and Engineering Specialists – Various Levels

About the role

Minopex is recruiting experienced professionals for a range of senior positions on an expatriate assignment at the Kurmuk Gold Mine in Ethiopia. The roles span plant management, engineering, metallurgy, production supervision, maintenance planning and SHEQ management, all focused on gold processing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and optimise gold processing plants, including CIL/CIP, flotation, autoclave and heap leach circuits.
• Lead engineering teams in mechanical, electrical and process disciplines.
• Manage production schedules, metallurgical accounting and plant performance monitoring.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities using SAP, MAXIMO, Oracle or OnKey systems.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Metallurgy, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10‑15 years of experience in mineral processing, preferably gold processing.
• Proven experience at plant management or senior technical supervisory level.
• Relevant trade or professional certifications where applicable.
