Procurement Assistant (G6/1 level)

About the role

The Procurement Assistant supports internal requisitioning units throughout the entire procurement cycle. You will provide guidance on procurement policies, assist with the preparation of solicitations, and ensure smooth execution of purchasing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist requisitioning units with procurement queries and provide guidance at every stage of the process.
• Prepare, issue, and distribute solicitation documents such as requests for quotation (RFQs) and invitations to tender.
• Manage the procurement process, track responses, evaluate offers, and coordinate award decisions.
• Maintain accurate case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
• Process payments for goods and services delivered, verifying invoices against contracts and delivery records.
• Collaborate with finance and logistics teams to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of procurement procedures and best practices.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple procurement files simultaneously.
• Good communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Organizational skills to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
