Programme Associate – Education Programme (Temporary)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Programme Associate to support the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) System Transformation of Education Programme (STEP) for Girls and Learning in Ethiopia. The role is based in Addis Ababa and reports to the Education Manager (P4), contributing to the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the programme.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of programme work plans and budgets.
• Conduct data analysis and prepare regular progress and results‑based reports.
• Track programme expenditures and support budget monitoring.
• Coordinate supply management and logistics for programme activities.
• Liaise with internal units (Operations, Finance, Supply) and external partners such as ministries, NGOs and donors.
• Provide administrative support to ensure compliance with UNICEF policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in programme support, monitoring and reporting.
• Ability to analyse data, track budgets and manage documentation.
• Strong coordination skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with UNICEF’s programme management processes is an advantage.
