Project Coordinator, Field Support Services Project (FSSP) Ethiopia

About the role

The Field Support Services Project (FSSP) in Ethiopia seeks a Project Coordinator to manage the delivery of technical, administrative, financial and logistical services that support Canada’s international assistance programmes. Reporting to the Project Manager for Ethiopia and South Sudan, the Coordinator will work on‑site in Addis Ababa, ensuring smooth implementation of project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source human resources or contractors to provide technical expertise and assistance.
• Maintain and update project documentation, schedules, status reports and correspondence in both manual and electronic formats.
• Assist in planning, analyzing, evaluating and prioritising deliverables and required documents.
• Research background information, analyse data and prepare concise summaries.
• Engage with stakeholders, resolve issues promptly and facilitate effective communication.
• Coordinate logistical services, including mission planning, local transportation, travel arrangements, flights and accommodation.
• Organise project reviews, capture lessons learned and share findings with the team and donor as appropriate.
• Stay informed of and comply with locally applicable laws and regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project coordination or administration, preferably in international development or humanitarian settings.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and adapt to changing priorities.
