Project Director – Double Fortified Salt Initiative (Ethiopia)

About the role

The Project Director will lead the Double Fortified Salt with Iron and Folic Acid (DFS‑IoFA) project in Ethiopia, overseeing all aspects of implementation, coordination and delivery of results for Nutrition International and its consortium partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for project implementation, ensuring effective stakeholder coordination and integration of gender equality and safeguarding.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with government authorities, donors, research bodies, the private sector and NGOs.
• Manage day‑to‑day planning, resource allocation and progress tracking against project deliverables.
• Strengthen monitoring, evaluation and learning systems, leveraging data for continuous improvement.
• Deliver timely and accurate reports on project performance and results.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading multi‑partner nutrition or public‑health projects.
• Proven ability to engage government authorities and donors effectively.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage budgets and reporting for fixed‑term projects.
• Experience fostering partnerships across research institutions, private sector and NGOs.
• Ability to incorporate gender equality and safeguarding considerations into project design and execution.
