Regional MEAL Officer

About the role

The Regional MEAL Officer will be the primary focal point for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning activities in the Central Ethiopia Region. Based in Worabe, the role supports the delivery of high‑quality secondary education by ensuring robust data collection, analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day monitoring, data collection, accountability and learning activities at regional and field level.
• Work closely with programme staff, partners, schools and regional education stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate data.
• Maintain and improve monitoring and evaluation systems for large‑scale programmes.
• Analyse data using statistical packages and prepare reports for the MEAL Manager.
• Support the implementation of the competency‑based curriculum through evidence‑based insights.

Required profile

• Experience operating monitoring and evaluation systems on large‑scale national programmes.
• Proven experience with data platforms, databases and related technologies.
• Familiarity with statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, Atlas.ti or NVivo.
• Ability to use IT applications for MEAL, data visualisation and information management.
• Based in the Central Ethiopia Region.
