Resource Acquisition and Management (RAM) Specialist

About the role

The Resource Acquisition and Management (RAM) Specialist supports World Vision International Ethiopia in securing funding and managing a diverse grant portfolio across development, humanitarian, and fragile contexts. The role works closely with donors, support offices, and internal teams to design competitive proposals aligned with the organization’s FY26‑30 strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead donor and support‑office engagement for assigned portfolios, sectors, or opportunities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date donor intelligence, funding pipeline, partner mapping, and opportunity tracking.
• Prepare briefs, identify entry points, and coordinate follow‑up actions for proactive donor positioning.
• Conduct Go/No‑Go assessments ensuring strategic alignment, feasibility, cost recovery, risk, compliance, and partner considerations.
• Coordinate development of concept notes, proposals, expressions of interest, and grant applications.
• Ensure proposals align with WVIE’s strategy, Integrated Programming Framework, donor priorities, and operational capacity.
• Collaborate with Technical, Operations, MEAL, Finance, Supply Chain, Security, Communications, and partner teams to produce realistic, integrated, and properly costed proposals.
• Support grant management by tracking actions, maintaining documentation, and ensuring donor compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in proposal writing, donor engagement, and grant management within development or humanitarian settings.
• Strong ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
• Capacity to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
