Sales and Digital Marketing Intern

About the role

Arat Netib Design Co. LTD, an architecture, interior design and construction firm founded in 2017 with offices in Addis Ababa and Juba, is looking for a Sales and Digital Marketing Intern. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Addis Ababa with a hybrid arrangement of remote work and scheduled in-person collaboration. You will work with the leadership and design teams to support audience growth, promotional campaigns and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Research potential customers, partners, media outlets, content creators and online communities, and build contact lists with records of outreach and follow-ups.
• Prepare personalized outreach emails, presentations and promotional materials.
• Support campaign planning and execution, including launches and ongoing audience engagement.
• Create and schedule social media content such as captions, short videos and visual posts.
• Assist with email marketing, subscriber growth, welcome emails and campaign updates.
• Identify opportunities for media coverage, newsletters, creator partnerships and community promotion, and engage with online communities in line with brand voice.
• Respond to inquiries, gather customer feedback and track traffic, engagement, outreach responses and conversions.
• Research competitors and market trends, and collaborate with the design team so marketing materials accurately reflect the work.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken English, especially for professional emails and marketing content.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and communicate confidently with prospects and partners.
• Based in Addis Ababa and available for scheduled in-person meetings; must have a personal laptop and reliable internet.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of social media, digital marketing, email campaigns and lead generation.
• Comfortable using spreadsheets, online collaboration tools and learning new marketing platforms.
• Nice to have: Canva, short-form video editing, social media scheduling tools, Meta Ads, Google Analytics, CRM systems or email marketing platforms, and experience with outreach, campaigns or launches.
