Salesperson - Telecommunications

About the role

Ethio telecom, a leading Ethiopian telecommunications provider, is hiring a full-time, on-site Salesperson in Adis Zemen. The Salesperson engages with customers to understand their communication and digital service needs, presents suitable products and packages, and supports them through the purchasing process.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads, follow up on inquiries, conduct product demonstrations and close sales while meeting individual and team targets.
• Maintain accurate sales records and prepare basic reports.
• Share customer feedback to help improve services.
• Collaborate with colleagues and management to deliver consistent, high-quality customer experiences and uphold brand standards.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, able to communicate clearly and professionally in person and by phone.
• Sales and negotiation abilities, including prospecting, presenting solutions and closing sales in a target-driven environment.
• Basic understanding of telecommunications, digital services and mobile financial services, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills, with attention to detail on customer requests and sales documentation.
• Ability to work on-site in Adis Zemen, work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in retail, customer-facing roles or sales is an advantage.
• Completed secondary education; additional vocational or college-level training in business, marketing or a related field is beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer applications such as email, spreadsheets and CRM systems.
• Comfort using mobile devices.
