Senior Accountant

About the role

Intnom Import and Export is looking for an experienced and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, prepare financial reports, ensure tax compliance, and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with Ethiopian laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full cycle accounting including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, withholding tax, pension and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Handle tax filings, assessments and clearances with the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and tax compliance.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Peachtree/Sage or comparable accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
