About the role
Omo Bank is seeking a Senior Application Development Officer to join its Head Office IT team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining core banking applications that support the bank’s expanding operations across Ethiopia.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy new banking application features.
- Provide ongoing support for core IT applications and ensure system stability.
- Perform system administration tasks, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Maintain documentation and adhere to security and compliance standards.
Required profile
- 4‑5 years of relevant work experience in IT or software development.
- At least 2 years in a system administration or core IT application support role.
- BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
