Senior Consultant – Implementation & Client Services

About the role

Visa is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead complex implementation projects for its payment solutions. The role combines technical expertise with client‑facing responsibilities, supporting financial institutions and partners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain implementation best practices using project‑management methodology.
• Lead technical activation and migration activities, establishing clear project plans and status reporting.
• Manage a portfolio of projects, identifying inter‑dependencies and aligning resources with strategic objectives.
• Provide technical expertise for API, batch file, SFTP and other connectivity solutions.
• Monitor progress, capture customer feedback, and communicate milestones to stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed project plans, risk/mitigation logs, and implementation documentation.

Required profile

• Bilingual in English and Amharic.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 10 + years experience in implementation or support roles within software, financial or information services.
• At least 5 + years of project‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of payment processing systems, digital payments, and client connectivity.

Required skills

• API integration and implementation.
• Batch file processing, SFTP, FTP/S, HTTPS.
• SWIFT (MT103), JSON, XML, ISO message formats.
• MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio.
• Understanding of credit‑card processing, cash‑management solutions, and digital‑payment services.
