Senior Microsoft AI Engineer – Copilot, Foundry & Power Automate

About the role

We are a startup building AI‑powered business applications using Microsoft technologies. The Senior Microsoft AI Engineer will own end‑to‑end delivery of AI assistants, automation workflows, and platform administration, working remotely on long‑term, full‑time projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain AI assistants and agents with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft Foundry.
• Develop robust Power Automate workflows with validation, exception handling, monitoring and recovery.
• Integrate Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Dataverse, Microsoft Graph and external APIs, creating custom connectors or supporting code as needed.
• Administer the company’s Microsoft 365, Azure and Power Platform environments, handling users, groups, roles, permissions, governance and cost control.
• Manage solution lifecycle across development, testing and production, including GitHub‑connected repositories, CI/CD pipelines and release verification.
• Evaluate AI output quality, latency, cost and establish human‑review steps for critical automated actions.
• Lead project planning, scope, risk management and stakeholder communication while coordinating outsourced developers.
• Mentor colleagues through code reviews, demos and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering production solutions with Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry and Power Automate.
• Hands‑on administration of Microsoft 365, Azure and Power Platform environments.
• Ability to lead technical projects, coordinate distributed contributors and mentor team members.
• Strong communication skills to translate business priorities into technical tasks and verify results.
