SOC Analyst I – Cyber Security Monitoring

About the role

ZamZam Bank, Ethiopia's first full‑fledged interest‑free bank, is looking for a motivated SOC Analyst I to join its Cyber Security team. You will be responsible for continuous monitoring of the bank’s IT environment, detecting and responding to security incidents, and supporting the bank’s commitment to secure, Shari’ah‑compliant services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events 24/7 using SIEM platforms and EDR/XDR tools.
• Perform alert triage, investigate incidents, and escalate according to defined procedures.
• Analyze security logs, network traffic, and threat intelligence to identify malicious activity.
• Document incidents, create IOC/IOA reports, and contribute to post‑incident reviews.
• Collaborate with IT and risk teams to improve security controls and response processes.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in IT or cyber security operations.
• Familiarity with 24/7 SOC monitoring, incident escalation, and basic MITRE ATT&CK framework.

Required skills
