Social Media Community Manager

About the role

The Social Media Community Manager will lead PTGR AG’s online communities across major platforms, driving engagement and supporting growth among crypto, fintech, and diaspora audiences. This full‑time position is based in Addis Ababa and focuses on building trust and active participation in Web3 environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage PTGR AG’s social media channels, including X, Telegram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and Web3 community platforms.
• Engage promptly with community members by responding to comments, messages, and discussions.
• Build and moderate Telegram and Discord communities to ensure active, informed, and positive interaction.
• Develop and execute growth strategies targeting crypto users and diaspora markets.
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to align messaging, campaigns, and product announcements.
• Monitor brand mentions and community sentiment across all platforms.
• Identify and engage influencers, ambassadors, and strategic community partners.
• Organize and manage online events such as AMAs, live sessions, and community campaigns.
• Track engagement metrics, growth rates, and overall community performance analytics.
• Escalate technical, compliance, or sensitive issues to relevant internal teams.
• Ensure all communications adhere to PTGR AG’s brand voice and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing social media communities, preferably in fintech, crypto, or technology sectors.
• Strong understanding of Web3 ecosystems and crypto culture.
• Proven experience managing Telegram or Discord communities.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media metrics.
• Ability to handle high‑volume interactions and crisis situations professionally.
• Experience engaging diaspora communities is an advantage.
