Social Media Manager

About the role

The Social Media Manager will lead the planning, creation, publishing and management of engaging digital content across all of our company’s social media platforms. Based in Addis Ababa, this full‑time, on‑site position focuses on boosting brand awareness, audience engagement and lead generation while supporting the marketing objectives of all business units.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create and publish high‑quality content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube and other relevant channels.
• Develop monthly and weekly content calendars aligned with marketing campaigns.
• Write compelling captions, copy and calls‑to‑action.
• Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, videographers and internal teams to produce creative assets.
• Monitor analytics, report on performance and adjust strategies based on data and trends.
• Engage with the audience, respond to interactions and maintain a consistent brand voice.
• Support influencer collaborations, digital partnerships and online reputation management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing brand social media accounts or digital marketing.
• Strong knowledge of major social media platforms and their best practices.
• Excellent content writing, storytelling and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Meta Business Suite and social media advertising tools.
• Experience using social media scheduling and management platforms.
• Basic graphic design and video editing skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and CapCut.
• Understanding of social media analytics and performance reporting.
