Supply Chain Manager – Strategic Leadership

About the role

World Vision is seeking a senior Supply Chain Manager to provide strategic leadership across its field program offices in Ethiopia. The role oversees supply chain, information technology, logistics, administration, and construction contract administration, ensuring these functions operate efficiently, cost‑effectively, and in line with the organization’s mission and values.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and align supply chain strategies, policies, and processes with World Vision management and board directives.
• Serve as a strategic partner to the Leadership Team, integrating support functions into the Program Hub operational strategy.
• Collaborate with functional leads to create operating plans, budgets, and annual procurement plans.
• Provide line‑management for heads of Supply Chain, IT, Logistics, Administration, and Construction Contract Administration.
• Ensure procurement policies (Source‑to‑Pay, warehousing, logistics) are effective and applied at field office level.
• Lead market assessments, supplier pre‑qualification, RFQ/RFP processes, and high‑spend category negotiations.
• Monitor procurement metrics, spend analytics, and supplier performance to refine strategies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary supply chain functions in a humanitarian context.
• Commitment to World Vision’s Christian identity, mission, and values.
• Experience managing budgets and operating plans across several functional areas.
• Strong line‑management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
