Technical Editor Consultant for Knowledge Products

About the role

The Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office (ENTRO) seeks an experienced Technical Editor to compile, edit, and ensure the quality of knowledge products for the Nile Cooperation for Climate Resilience (NCCR) project. The consultant will work remotely, with occasional travel to Addis Ababa for data collection and presentations.

Key responsibilities

• Review, edit, and proofread all project knowledge products (reports, studies, tools, training materials, communication outputs) to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to the NCCR style guide.
• Develop concise summaries, one‑page policy briefs, and an executive summary for the overall project, and categorize products by theme, sub‑project, and audience.
• Collaborate with technical teams and thematic coordinators to verify accuracy, tag metadata, and support integration into the Integrated Knowledge Platform (IKP).
• Produce a final report outlining challenges, recommendations, and a dissemination plan.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in environmental science, water resources management, engineering, communications, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in technical editing, report writing, proofreading, and content development, preferably in climate‑related or water‑resource projects.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
