Technical Training Manager

About the role

The Technical Training Manager will support plant performance by designing, coordinating and delivering performance‑based technical training programmes. Working closely with operational leaders, HR and subject‑matter experts, the role ensures the workforce has the skills needed for operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate technical training programmes across the plant.
• Develop, update and maintain training outlines, lesson plans, manuals, presentations and hands‑on learning materials.
• Identify training needs in partnership with leadership and align them with business objectives.
• Collaborate with HR, line managers and SMEs to implement best‑practice training initiatives.
• Support onboarding and integration of new employees into technical training pathways.
• Utilise modern instructional methods, e‑learning platforms and virtual training tools.
• Maintain training schedules, records and learning calendars.
• Deliver on‑the‑job training and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, feedback and performance analysis.
• Recommend and implement improvements to training programmes and delivery methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Human Resource Management or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• At least 1 year experience facilitating on‑the‑job or technical training programmes.
• Strong understanding of technical training methodologies and adult learning principles.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High ethical standards, professionalism and a customer‑focused mindset.
