Tigrinya Language Expert - Remote

About the role

We are looking for a native‑level Tigrinya speaker to help train next‑generation AI systems. In this remote contract position you will provide high‑quality linguistic input that directly influences how AI models understand and generate Tigrinya content.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, review, and edit Tigrinya text to ensure accuracy, appropriate tone, and cultural relevance.
• Evaluate, correct, and annotate linguistic data used for AI training.
• Provide detailed feedback to improve AI‑generated Tigrinya outputs.
• Collaborate with other linguists and project managers to meet project milestones.
• Maintain consistency, clarity, and precision across all language materials.
• Identify idioms, regional variations, and nuanced expressions to enhance model learning.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Tigrinya, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, or localization of Tigrinya content.
• Strong analytical skills and deep cultural knowledge of Tigrinya‑speaking regions.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
