Utilities Artisan – Maintenance & Operations Support

About the role

The Utilities Artisan provides specialist maintenance and operational support to shift‑based teams, ensuring plant equipment runs reliably and efficiently. You will act as a technical expert, assisting operators, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to both planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site specialist support to day and standby shift teams, offering guidance on mechanical equipment, fault finding and corrective actions.
• Participate in maintenance planning meetings, execute tasks during planned maintenance windows, and communicate any deviations to the maintenance controller.
• Carry out routine cleaning, lubrication, inspections and condition‑monitoring activities according to the maintenance schedule.
• Perform running repairs on plant equipment, assess problems, determine corrective actions and document the work.
• Coach and mentor shift personnel, transferring knowledge on machine operation and maintenance best practices.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Experience working in shift environments and supporting operational teams.
• Proactive attitude, capable of mentoring others and sharing technical knowledge.
• Good communication skills to provide clear guidance to operators and maintenance staff.
