Country Head – Ethiopia

About the role

YES is conducting an executive search on behalf of a leading global retail brokerage to appoint a Country Head for Ethiopia. This hands‑on, commercially driven role will build the business from the ground up and drive sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the country’s commercial strategy, P&L and growth targets.
• Drive client acquisition, revenue generation and market penetration.
• Build, activate and manage a network of Introducing Brokers and affiliates.
• Establish the local business‑development operation from scratch.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high‑performing local team as the business scales.
• Forge strategic relationships with partners and industry stakeholders.
• Monitor performance closely and remain accountable for measurable commercial results.
• Represent the organisation professionally within the Ethiopian market.

Required profile

• Currently based in Ethiopia and legally eligible to work locally.
• Proven, numbers‑backed experience in FX/CFD brokerage business development or sales leadership.
• Demonstrable results against client‑acquisition, trading‑volume, revenue or profitability targets.
• Strong, active network of Introducing Brokers and affiliates in Ethiopia.
• Experience building and leading a business‑development or sales team.
• Personal track record of originating and closing business.
• Deep understanding of the Ethiopian market, business culture and regulatory environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
