Finance Associate – Ethiopia (MNTD/REACH Malaria)

About the role

PATH is seeking a Finance Associate to provide clerical financial support for its Ethiopia‑based malaria and neglected tropical diseases program. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, handling banking transactions, and supporting the program team with payment processing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and organize paper and digital financial document archives for audits and reconciliations.
• Handle routine banking tasks, including cash/check deposits, bank transfers, and collection of bank statements and advice.
• Prepare and facilitate payment documents, checks, and letters, and follow up on payment workflows.
• Scan, copy, and archive financial documents, vendor invoices, and bank advice according to organizational standards.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payment status and bank transfers.
• Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, printing, binding, and filing financial records on a monthly basis.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience, preferably with international NGOs or donors.
• Fluency in English and Amharic.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to work independently.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
