Finance Director – Africa CDC

About the role

The Finance Director will lead the Finance Directorate of Africa CDC, providing strategic direction and overseeing all financial operations to support the organization’s mission across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall financial strategy in alignment with Africa CDC’s objectives.
• Supervise the finance team (4 direct, 10 indirect reports) to ensure timely delivery of goals and performance evaluations.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, analysis, reporting and forecasting for all divisions.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, monitor expenditures, and manage financial risks.
• Prepare and present financial performance reports to the executive team and the Director General.

Required profile

• Citizen of an African Union Member State.
• Extensive senior‑level experience in finance leadership, preferably within large public or international organisations.
• Proven ability to develop financial policies, manage budgets and lead multidisciplinary teams.
